Food Handling Certificates

In Nakuru County, a Food Handlers Certificate (or medical certificate) is mandatory for those cooking and serving food in schools. It ensures that staff are free from communicable diseases that can be transmitted through food, such as typhoid, tuberculosis (TB), and various parasitic or bacterial infections.

BMJ has covered the costs of the certificates which are valid for six months.
